Membership of the group allows an exciting exchange to take place stimulating new developments in the field such as Textiles Hub London,  London Linen, Arts for Health, Empathy by Design (through Dr Julie Behseta's recycling polymers research),  Slow Cycle, The People's Print and The Geometrics, to name a few. The Slow Textiles Group is proud of the network and outcomes it
has accrued in a short space of time. It goes without saying, all collaborations ripple into further outputs and projects and so, the Slow Textiles Group stimulates a world of interconnecting tapestries each with independent and enriching cultural lives.

Exciting projects germinate, grow and expand because the Slow Textiles Group conductor creates a space for each member's unique matrix of knowledge, ideas, design thinking, business, brand, knowhow, skills, development, profile, projects and community; the conductor differentiates, integrates and edifies these for each member (through personal
tutorials, group crits, First Friday parties, questionnaires and seminars). As a result, the social, cultural and material value of the group appears to magically expand!

The group's overarching aims are simply to improve quality of life by expanding and edifying textiles industry within a sustainable development framework.

Members work with many well-known organizations including the Textile Institute, V&A, RCA, FESTO, Science Museum, Design Museum, Alexander McQueen, H&M and Liberty's, passing this knowledge on.
